Title: Trust, Peer Review and Impact

Pep is leading the editorial team of Nature Biomedical Engineering, a journal that he launched in 2017. Previously, he was a Senior Editor for Nature Materials. He has championed content across the applied biomedical sciences, handling manuscripts, commissioning articles and writing on a wide variety of subjects, including gene and cell therapies, diagnostics, medical machine learning, medical imaging, medical devices, and tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Previously, Pep conducted research in computational soft matter and biophysics at Columbia University’s Chemistry Department in New York City, at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, and at the Atomic and Molecular Physics Institute in Amsterdam. Pep obtained a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Rovira i Virgili University in Catalonia, Spain.
