Title: Viromimetic Polymer Nanoparticles for Vaccine and Cancer Therapy
Prof. Xuesi Chen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the executive deputy director of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC) Academic Committee, principal investigator of the biomedical polymer research group, chairman of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials. He was National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars recipient in 2004, Ten-Thousand Talents Project of Ministry of Science and Technology in 2013, and has been elected the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) Fellow in 2016. He serves as the deputy editors-in-chief of Science China-Materials. He has published more than 1000 research papers, cited by others more than 54,000 times, h-index 112. His research interests include synthesis of Schiff base catalysts for ring-opening polymerization of lactides, preparation of biodegradable polymers for biomedical applications such as bone fracture repair, drug and gene carriers, hydrogels, and industrialization of polylactide (PLA) as green plastics.
